Johann is the original and first creation of Dr. Frankenstein and is thus the original "Frankenstein's Monster". He is Herman Munster's original prototype and technically older brother, but is identified as his "cousin" likely due to being disowned by the original Dr. Frankenstein due to his uncontrollable and monstrous behavior.
Biography[]
Like the original Frankenstein's Monster from the Universal films, the Monster was created by Dr. Frankenstein in 1815 in an attempt to create life, but the Monster proved to be a truly unstable monster and broke free, making his way into the village below Frankenstein's castle and causing untold damage and panic among the villagers. After several events, the Monster would spend the next 150 years living in secrecy within the ancestral Frankenstein Estate in Germany where he would continue to torment villagers and frighten young maidens for the next century or so.
Disappointed with his creation, Dr. Frankenstein tried to create life a few more times, some of which were also rejects, until eventually creating his masterpiece, Herman. Whether Herman's brother and sister were rejects or perfected models remains unknown.
The Monster would eventually be discovered by the descendant of the original Dr. Frankenstein, Dr. Frankenstein IV 150 years later, who would take the Monster under his custody and give him the name "Johann" and dedicated himself to stabilizing Johann and make him a productive member of society like Herman.
