Mockingbird Heights is the fictional town in which The Munsters took place. Throughout the series, conflicting information was given as to which state the town was actually in. In some publicity material released in 1964, before the show started airing, the Munsters were said to live in Camelot, New Jersey.

Herman got a Ham radio and the call letters were w6sr.k4. The FCC call sign region for 6 is California. The W prefix for ham radio call signs don’t denote location. Since vanity call signs weren’t a thing at that time, the ham license definitively shows that Hermann lived in California.
In season 2, episode 31 "Herman’s Lawsuit", there’s a shot of Herman’s license, and “Heights” is misspelled.
